If you are a Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provider we wanted to make sure you were aware that you could apply for the provider relief fund distribution to potentially receive approximately 2 percent of reported gross revenue from patient care, and the deadline is approaching on August 3, 2020.
On June, 9, 2020, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), announced additional distributions from the Provider Relief Fund to eligible Medicaid and CHIP providers that participate in state Medicaid and CHIP programs. HHS expects to distribute approximately $15 billion to eligible providers that participate in state Medicaid and CHIP programs and have not received a payment from the Provider Relief Fund General Allocation. As the August 3, 2020 deadline is approaching to apply, we would appreciate if you could share this, as well as the Medicaid and CHIP Provider resources below, with providers and others in your network.

The Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) released a new Fact Sheet for Medicaid and CHIP Providers that is now available on the Provider Relief Fund website.

Medicaid and CHIP Provider Distribution Instructions and the Medicaid and CHIP Provider Distribution Application Form are available at hhs.gov/providerrelief. We recommend downloading and reviewing these documents to help you complete the process through the Enhanced Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal. Applications must be submitted by July 20, 2020.
