STAR Medicaid Program

Children in Texas without health insurance may be able to get low cost or free health coverage from Children’s Medicaid. STAR covers low-income children, pregnant women and families.

Community First Health Plans (CFHP) is the only non-profit, locally owned health plan available to you. As a member of our plan, CFHP offers you extra health care benefits called Value Added Services. These are in addition to those provided by the STAR program.

Texas Health Steps

Texas Health Steps is for children from birth through 20 years of age who have Medicaid. Texas Health Steps provides regular medical and dental checkups and case management services at no cost to you.

  • Getting a ride or money for gas
