HHSC Selects Members for New Medicaid Committees AUSTIN – HHSC has selected members to serve on three new advisory committees created by the 2011 Texas Legislature. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Council, the Quality-Based Payment Advisory Committee and the Physician Payment Quality Committee will help improve Medicaid services and reform the payment system.

HEDIS® 2011 Performance Report Texas HMOs are required by the State of Texas to provide information about their services to the Texas Health Care Information Council using the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) methodology. HEDIS is a set of standardized performance measures designed to help purchasers and consumers make reliable comparison of organization performance. Reports can lead to programs and initiatives that improve patient safety. The HEDIS 2011 Report measures the services that were provided in 2010.

The Paper Medicaid ID is Gone for Good It's the end of an era. As of Oct. 1, 2011, HHSC is no longer producing or distributing its Form 3087, also known as the paper Medicaid ID.

MyPlate is designed to remind Americans to adopt healthier eating habits, in a time when more than one-third of children and more than two-thirds of adults in the U.S. are overweight or obese.
